Oh Academy Awards, when you do it big.... you really do it big.... So just when I thought I was just going to be talking about the Oscars Red Carpet fashion last night- something major happened. I'm just going to point out the elephant in the room NOW and get it over with. The true OG's Bonnie and Clyde presented La La Land with the award for Best Motion Picture. However.... wait for it..... IT WAS REALLY MOONLIGHT that won. I know I know, you've already heard the misannounced shot heard around the world. But I had to point it out because this is major. After a very successful night (thank you Kimmel!) Oscars just couldn't let him have all the glory. Supposedly there was a mix up (how do you get the cards mixed up!?) and they accidently had Emma Stone's best actress card instead of the motion picture card. Lame. How does one not notice Emma's name printed on there? Dunaway I'm looking at you. But I digress. I am very happy with last night's wins. You know aside from that whole..... thing. Viola Davis won best supporting actress- made me bawl. Emma Stone won best actress- made me bawl. Basically I was a full bag of tears last night and to top it off I had just came back from a weekend full of workshops that is helping me work towards my goal of ending up right where these celebrities were last night. It was all so inspiring. SO. To start off this highly positive fashion review- I will only be posting the celebs I thought were best dressed last night. There will also be a MEN's category too! SURPRISE. Lets get down to business. BEST DRESSED WOMAN: Emma Stone stole the show. She was beautiful in an old Hollywood Glamour sort of way. I think Elle Magazine said it best, something along the lines of, "She looks like an Oscar winner tonight". BEST DRESSED MEN: Say what you will about Ryan Seacrest but he looked good. I couldn't for the life of me find out what our Oscars correspondant wore but whoever he was wearing did him real good! Plus the maroon (cough, cough, Burgundy, I'm sorry) bow tie was perfect. There you go folks. The biggest thing you misses all night. I have to give it to Kimmel though, he was entertaining and this was one of the better Oscars than years past, except of course when Leo won. I will always love that year! Miss the worst dressed list? I do too... sort of. But I figured we needed a little positivity and glamour to brighten up our Monday. Lord knows I've been "having a Monday". XoXo,
Nat
